life update

I have always had a way with putting my thoughts into words and I felt like everyone was constantly asking me the same questions. I have been thinking about starting a blog for a while, to share my thoughts on life, random things, and big events in my life. So for starters I will give the most recent…

As some of you may know, I have been attending  Northern Arizona University for the past three years. I have been studying Fitness/Wellness and aspire to become a Sports Massage Therapist. I have always had a passion for fitness and sports and if you know me well you know that I love to help others. This career sounds like the perfect fit to me, and hopefully that is exactly what I find it to be! I am on track to graduate in December 2017!

Now try to stay with me because this is where it gets confusing… I will still be an NAU student, however, this semester (fall 2017) I will be interning with one of Arizona State University’s sport’s conditioning coaches. While this internship will help me to wrap up the last of my major’s required credits, NAU still requires me to complete 16 more credits. Someone should have probably told me to minor in something back when I was a freshman, because I would have easily accumulated those 16 credits with a minor. Nonetheless, I believe that everything happens for a reason and God has a bigger and better plan than we could ever imagine. So following my “graduation” in December I will be leaving in January 2018 for a semester in Spain! I will be taking 14 credits worth of Spanish (beginning –intermediate), 1 credit worth of a nutrition/cooking class (Spanish Cuisine and the Mediterranean diet), and 1 more credit for a field study to Morocco. I am so excited for all my travels and adventures to come and for the opportunities I have been presented!

I am incredibly sad to be away from my mountain town of Flagstaff, Arizona, which I didn’t fully realize the impact it had on me until I had to pack up and move. I am still grateful for all this year has to offer. I hope this helped clear up any confusion! Thanks for all the support so far, and I am looking forward to keeping everyone updated.
